We have set up a non-profit organisation, Snowland Journeys, to offer long-term support to the children, school and communities featured in ‘Children of the Snow Land’.
Snowland Journeys now offers responsible travellers the unique chance to trek the expeditions seen in the film, with Snowland teenagers who will graduate school each year, enabling them to return home to see their parents for the first time in 12 years - just like the teenagers in the film.
These family reunions are financially enabled by the sharing of the journey.
There is no longer any other funding to support the young people to return home, so Snowland Journeys stepped in to provide funding and expedition support for the lengthy journeys, to make sure the children will always be able to be reunited with their families.
These expeditions take you to an ancient, off-grid land and provide life-changing experiences for Himalayan children and trekkers alike.
